Don't get it twisted...yoga is NOT going to help with weight loss.  Most yoga instructors who want to sell their service or product will tell you that yoga will help with weight loss.
DVD's will tell you yoga "things" will tell you yoga is for weight loss.
The truth is that yoga will not cause weight loss.  Don't be fooled into thinking that an exercise which does not increase your heart rate will cause weight loss.
I had a yoga instructor once tell me that the only way yoga will cause weight loss is if you do it so quickly that your hear rate increases from going from pose to pose!  She was honest and I appreciated that because I already knew that yoga does not get your heart rate up high enough to cause weight loss.
